????Recently, CAMCE successfully signed a commercial contract with the Ministry of Health of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana for the construction of the Bartica Regional Hospital Project. Li Weiwei, General Manager of No. 1 Engineering Business Division, and Malcolm Watkins, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health in Guyana, signed the agreement on behalf of the respective parties.
Project Overview
????The project is located in Bartica, the largest town in Region 7 of Guyana, situated along the upper reaches of the Essequibo River. It involves the construction of a modern general hospital, including the design and construction of the main medical buildings and supporting facilities, as well as the supply, installation, commissioning, and training for medical equipment.
At the Signing Ceremony
????Malcolm Watkins, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health in Guyana, stated that from July 2022 to August 2025, CAMCE completed the construction of six hospitals in Guyana on schedule to high standards, fully demonstrating the professionalism, execution capability, and sense of responsibility of Chinese enterprises. He expressed hope that in this new project, CAMCE would continue to leverage the dual strengths of "China Speed" and "China Quality", delivering high-quality works to enhance public well-being and accelerate the development of Guyana's healthcare sector.
